The rigid heddle is a great beginner’s loom that provides a complete weaving experience, while teaching skills and techniques that are transferable to other types of looms, including larger floor looms. Sessions will cover the foundations of weaving - terminology, how to plan a basic project, how to warp your loom, and foundational weaving structures and techniques. Studio time will be spent on demos, with plenty of hands-on weaving time.
Looms and all materials are provided by WildCraft.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops. All participants must accept the inherent risks of participating in a Studio Workshop and agree to sign a liability waiver.
