The process of beeswax candle dipping is beautifully simple: dip cotton wicks into fragrant, warm beeswax, let them cool, then dip again. Each layer builds slowly, and the candles gradually take shape, dip by dip. It's an unhurried, meditative process; the kind of repetitive, hands-on work that lets your mind settle even as your hands stay busy.
Students will work at heated wax vats, taking in the warmth and sweet scent of natural beeswax as their candles slowly build layer upon layer. Each student leaves with two pairs of hand-dipped beeswax candles.
No experience is necessary.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops. All participants must accept the inherent risks of participating in a Studio Workshop and agree to sign a liability waiver.
