Brittany Knotek

Brittany Knotek is a Portland-based studio artist specializing in ceramics. With a degree in Art Practice from UC Berkeley, her artistic foundation began in abstract painting. Over the years, her creative journey has included making intricate paper sculptures—delicate honeycomb forms on wood—before eventually transitioning to ceramics. During the pandemic, she deepened her practice through ceramics courses at PCC, where she fell in love with the process of forming and glazing clay.

Brittany brings her playful, exploratory spirit into teaching, encouraging students to trust their intuition and embrace curiosity throughout their creative process. For her, art-making is a hands-on, trial-and-error adventure where experimentation is the key to discovery.
