Willow weaving, but make it FESTIVE! More info...

Using foraged willow rods, students will learn to weave large willow stars, the perfect decoration to hang on the front door, dangle from an evergreen garland, or use as a tree-topper!

A delightful entry-point for those interested in basketry, this 3-hr class will introduce students to foundational willow weaving techniques such as “figure 8”, as well as offering guided demonstrations on “random” or “wild weave” techniques. Each student will finish class with 2 willow stars (10”-15” across). Interested in making 5, 6, or 7 pointed stars? You’ve got it! Weaver and educator Rose Covert will help you make the stars of your dreams! She will offer a variety of ribbon for those who would like to hang their stars, and floral wire for those who might like to create a tree topper.
