Woven Tea Towels

Students will weave a set of absorbent, colorful tea towels on rigid heddle looms, learning the complete process from warping through finishing. More info...
Over the course of this 4-week class, Hannah guides students through each step: preparing and warping the loom, establishing rhythm and tension while weaving, and completing towels with hand-stitched hems. Beyond technique, students will develop a deeper understanding of loom mechanics and learn how to select ideal yarn weights, equipment, and materials for weaving functional home goods.
Students leave with their own set of handwoven tea towels and the foundational knowledge to continue weaving textiles for everyday use.

Some weaving experience helpful but not required. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
