Even in the darker days of fall, the natural dye studio is full of warmth and color! Join us for this 1-day workshop exploring the late autumn palette of Portland’s natural dye plants. From harvest and plant identification, to processing and preparing fibers, this workshop leads students through all the steps of dyeing with fresh and dried plants, with a special focus on flowers, berries, trees. and roots that commonly grow in Portland. The class will work with non-toxic mordants, and plant and animal fibers (cotton, wool, silk). Each student will leave with a swatch booklet, notes, 2 finished textiles & a WildCraft Natural Dye Craftbook.

No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
