While many beading projects are very time consuming, artist Tania Skevos has created an ideal introduction to bead-weaving that she’ll share in this 1-day workshop. Tania will demonstrate how to create simple patterns in traditional, flat-weave peyote stitch, as well as finishing techniques and an overview of different types of suitable beads and supplies for the project. Depending on interest, ambition and dexterity, students will create one or more pieces, and have the option to explore more complex color patterns.

Tania will bring an extensive palette of colored glass beads to work with during class and students will go home with a kit that includes a beading mat, needles, bead scoop, thread and practice beads.
