This innovative medium makes precious metal jewelry creation accessible without traditional metalworking equipment or extensive studio space.

This intensive introduces fundamental bronze clay techniques, from shaping and texturing to three-dimensional construction. Students will work with specialized tools, molds, and stamps while learning to balance aesthetic appeal with practical wearability.

Students focus on creating personalized pendants and earrings, concluding with the kiln firing that transforms clay into solid metal. The kiln will be fired offsite and students will be invited back to the studio to pick up their pieces along with information on optional finishing techniques achievable from home.

The workshop covers essential material management: keeping bronze clay workable, efficient usage strategies, and techniques for reclaiming dried clay. Students will complete at least three finished jewelry pieces while gaining technical proficiency and creative confidence for continued exploration.

No previous experience required, though familiarity with polymer or ceramic clays provides helpful background.
