We’re excited to continue this practice with a contemporary interpretation to the art of stained glass led by artist, Kristin Culotta. This workshop is designed as an in-depth introduction for beginning students – a fantastic way to learn the basics and leave with a finished piece and the skills to continue!

Kristin will guide students through specialized tools and processes, including how to break, grind and solder glass to create perfectly joined pieces. Class will focus on the creation of suncatchers using the copper foil method and a wide array of colored and textured glass. Students may work from a selection of designs or create their own simple geometric patterns, allowing each student to make a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

This class is a great prerequisite to Intermediate Stained Glass: 3D Forms.

Fume extractors and PPE will be provided in class for use during soldering.
