Create something cozy this fall in this four-week intro to quilting class! Students will be guided through every step of the process—from selecting fabrics to binding the finished quilt—using both traditional and modern techniques to create a throw-sized quilt perfect for curling up under or gifting. The course covers basic quilt block patterns while exploring color, texture, and layout. Students will use sewing machines for piecing, with demonstrations on hand-finishing techniques that create visible quilt stitches for a handmade, heirloom-quality effect. Students are encouraged to play with upcycled fabrics and personalize their quilts, mixing favorite cottons or linens to create something truly one-of-a-kind.
This class is perfect for beginners and beyond who can thread a machine and sew a straight stitch. By the end of the four weeks, students will leave with a finished quilt (or a strong start on completion) and the confidence to keep quilting at home.
Students are asked to bring fabrics of their choice, their own sewing machines, and have basic machine sewing skills (threading, straight stitch). WildCraft will provide quilt batting. A detailed supply list will be sent with your registration email.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
