Ainsley Van Hook

Ainsley Van Hook is a multidisciplinary textile artist from Portland, OR. Her work weaves together memory, movement, and nature. Rooted in slowness and care, her practice bridges historical craft knowledge with a present-day responsibility towards craft education and sharing with the community. Often she is weaving handwoven fabric, knitting imagery in garments, and dying yarns and fabric from her dye garden. Ainsley enjoys blending her personal art practice into her teaching style, fostering a space of open curiosity, storytelling, and joy. Ainsley is a 2026 MFA graduate in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art and began working at Wildcraft Studio School as a studio assistant and staff teacher in the fall of 2025.
