This workshop explores the unique properties of mirror glass - from cutting and foiling techniques to edge safety and design strategies that balance reflection with traditional art glass. Students will create a stained glass panel incorporating mirror elements, whether framed or freeform. The class covers proper reinforcement methods and finishing techniques for panels that are both visually striking and built to last. By understanding how mirror interacts with colored glass, students will discover new possibilities for playing with light, depth, and dimension in their work.
Students leave with a completed 10" x 10" panel (approximate size) and the skills to confidently incorporate mirror into future stained glass projects.
Open to all levels, no experience required. Fume extractors and PPE will be provided in class for use during soldering.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
