Scott Sutton

Scott Sutton is an artist whose art and use of materials is as diverse as the Northwest landscape where he finds his inspiration and the natural resources that he uses to express himself. Scott received a Bachelor of Fine Art from Oregon State University in 1998 where he learned to make paint by hand and used in creating contemporary works of art. This passion for working with raw materials expanded into the environments beyond the art studio where he began to discover local sources of minerals that have now become an important element in his creative process. In 2012, Scott received a Master of Landscape Architecture that combines the ecological world of living plants and ecosystems with the technological world of 3d modeling, mapping, and site design. Scott’s work explores the realms of art and landscape architecture where the use of materials and design are inspired by site specific environments.
