Jessica Bardsley

Jessica Bardsley is a lover of all things textile, having learned needlework from her grandmother and quilting from her mother. Though the entire Bardsley family had been professional weavers in England over several generations, the craft was lost to the family since about World War I. Jessica learned her family's art as an adult, and though she is primarily a self-taught weaver, has studied weaving through various programs, including WildCraft and with Madelyn van der Hoogt, former editor of Handwoven magazine and founder of The Weaver's School. She works out of her studio in Portland, Oregon, on a range of different looms, including rigid heddle, two 8 shaft floor looms, and a 16 shaft computerized dobby AVL.
