Ivy Stovall

Ivy Stovall has followed her fascination with the ancestral ingenuity, skill, creativity, culture and storytelling brilliance embedded in traditional textiles and pursued her love of the natural world into a life of process-driven, ecological explorations of color, pattern and texture. She teaches the Weaver's Wheel 9-month fiber arts immersion course that takes students from seed to harvest to processing and use of fiber, dye and weaving plants. Ivy dyes, spins, grows, sews, weaves and teaches from Rewild Portland's community greenhouse gardens and her fiber arts studio, The Wheelhouse, situated in the Green Anchors apiary on the north reach of the Willamette River, surrounded by the plants and pollinators and silkworm companions that inspire her craft.
