Erin Amos

Erin Amos is a self-taught wild foods enthusiast. An Appalachian native, she has spent the past five years exploring the wilderness of the Columbia Gorge and getting lost in the garden at her off-grid homestead. Erin delights in identifying every plant she comes across and learning its benefits to both people and larger ecosystems. Looking beyond edibility, she loves the complexities and oddities of the plants, insects and animals encountered in the forests. In her teaching, Erin aims to connect students to the idea that there is still so much to learn about natural ecosystems and our role in supporting them.
