Daniela Mahoney

Daniela Mahoney was born in Prague where she studied international business and foreign languages. She came to the USA in 1982. Daniela developed educational programs for children and adults with emphasis on preservation of cultural crafts representative of Central and Eastern European countries. Using natural materials (straw, cornhusk, eggs), as well as glass beads Daniela offers a variety of workshops to museums, libraries, schools and special interest groups nationwide. 

In 2013 Daniela received an award from the Oregon Folklife Network and shared traditional Czech and Slovak egg decorating as a master artist with an apprentice. Daniela holds a master's degree in geriatric Social Work from Portland State University.
