Bryan Hobby

Bryan is an accidental truffle hunter. Raised in the ozarks, he came to truffles because he bought a hypoallergenic dog that was predispositioned to locate novel odors. With a minor in Animal Behavior with a BS in Environmental Plant Science, he was well situated to train that dog to be a champion truffle hound. Hunting truffles all over the PNW and training with truffle hunters in France Bryan has, quite unexpectedly, become a seasoned veteran PNW forager. He’s excited to share the mysterious world of Oregon truffles with fellow fans of the forest.

Buster Brown was born in Serbia and raised in Portland. At three year old, he is the current Joiad Truffle Champion runner-up, the North American truffle competition. Competing again in February, Buster will not rest until all his adversaries have been defeated. He likes light jazz and has swam in every major river west of the Mississippi, as far as he knows.
