Abigail DeYoung
Abigail DeYoung is a native Oregonian, and you can tell! Foraging in the Mohawk Valley since age three, and in the Coastal Range since age five, wild foods have been a lifelong passion for Abigail. She holds a degree in Biology from the University of Oregon, is a Certified Interpretive Guide, and has been working in Oregon’s woods and waters for decades. Her professional experience ranges from surveying endangered species, to harvesting wild foods for restaurants, and guiding coastal excursions for folks of all ages. Because of her habit of talking about science in layman's terms, she’s able to easily convey complex concepts of ecosystems, habitat types and plant and animal biology. She can’t wait to share the wonder of the Oregon Coast with you!
