Dive deep into the practice of weaving with teacher and textile artist Hannah Watson. Hannah will guide students through one traditional weaving pattern each week in this 4-week series. Students will work with small wooden panels, a needle and linen thread in a variety of colors to create beautiful pattern swatches that can stand alone as tiny textile artworks, and serve as useful reference examples for future projects. Hannah will instruct students in houndstooth, twill, checkerboard, and canvas weaving techniques.
This class is open to beginners, and great for those with some weaving experience.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
