Wall Hanging Basket Weaving for Beginners

Using plain weave, twining, and lashed rim techniques students will design and weave a basket with a hanger that can be used to hold bouquets for your front door, home, or office. Brittany will cover the different sizes and types of reed basket weaving materials, and how to prepare and use these materials. Students will go away with a basket that is 8" wide, 12" tall with a 3.5" deep opening. Students will work with will use ½” flat reed, ⅝” flat oval reed, ¼” flat oval reed, and seagrass.

No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
