Join Grand Ronde Tribal Member Stephanie Wood for two days of exploring Stinging Nettles of the Columbia River Gorge from ground to cordage. Learn sustainable nettle harvesting methods while exploring areas near the Gifford Pinchot Ntl. Forest on day-one. Day two students will gather at our White Salmon, WA studio to process the nettles for cordage or yarn.  Cordage and ropes are used for hunting, fishing, pulling, carrying, lifting and dates back since the beginning of time. A great class for those looking to expand their foraging and fiber knowledge.
