We’re excited to continue this practice with a contemporary interpretation led by artist, Kristin Culotta.

This workshop serves as an in-depth introduction to the art of stained glass for beginning students, and is perfectly suited to intermediate students looking to refine their technique. Students will practice all the fundamentals and leave with a finished piece and the skills to continue!

Kristin will guide students through specialized tools and processes, including how to break, grind and solder glass to create perfectly joined pieces. Class will focus on the creation of suncatchers using the copper foil method and a wide array of colored and textured glass. Pieces will be finished using a firm, structural zinc or lead border. Students may work from a selection of designs or create their own simple geometric patterns, allowing each student to make a truly one-of-a-kind piece.

No experience necessary. For intermediate or repeat students this class is a great opportunity to deepen your practice. Fume extractors and PPE will be provided in class for use during soldering.

No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops.
