Intermediate Stained Glass: Lidded Boxes

The method of copper foil, a now ubiquitous technique used to construct 3-dimensional forms, revolutionized stained glass applications when it was introduced in the late 1800’s by American artist, Louis Comfort Tiffany. Artist and educator Kristin Culotta, introduces returning students to this technique, guiding students through the process of designing and creating a unique stained glass box, complete with a lid. 

Kristin will demonstrate how to design for 3D, use tools and equipment safely, and manipulate materials into refined dimensional forms. This hands-on workshop offers the opportunity for repeat students to elevate their stained glass practice and deepen their understanding of the medium.

Open to any student who has taken a stained glass workshop, or those with soldering experience. Fume extractors and PPE will be provided in class for use during soldering.
