Raku pieces are heated to 1,800F and pulled red hot from the kiln. Smoke, flame and excitement abound! No experience required, just show up, adorn 2 hand-thrown pots, and experience the magic of a raku firing! (Purchase additional pieces to fire for $20 per pot) Take your pots home the same day. 

About East Creek: East Creek is a community art studio and ceramics retreat center, situated on 20 acres of lush forest. A historic 40-foot wood fired Anagama kiln is a rare feature of this compound. Built in 1983, the kiln is the second of its kind in the US. East Creek is pleased to host guests overnight with space to camp, tiny cabins and a bunkhouse. No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops. All participants must accept the inherent risks of participating in a Studio Workshop and agree to sign a liability waiver.
