Join artist and educator Gordon Barnes in the studio for this playful 1-day workshop where he’ll demonstrate how to produce a series of vibrant, organic prints on handmade Japanese paper. Gordon will discuss essential marbling materials, safe handling of materials, and how to set up your studio to continue creating these prints at home.
Students will experiment with numerous sample papers, and leave with fourteen or more unique pieces of 8”x10” marbled washi paper.
No previous experience necessary. This workshop is open to anyone 18 years old & over who meet the Essential Eligibility Criteria for Studio Workshops. All participants must accept the inherent risks of participating in a Studio Workshop and agree to sign a liability waiver.
