Assistant Program Coordinator
This part-time, hybrid position offers a qualified candidate the opportunity to join a small, tight-knit creative team, in a role that affords both hands-on time supporting workshops as well as a role in growing WildCraft Studio School through marketing and programming development.
WildCraft has been a leader in creative adult education for 7+ years, offering over 150 workshops per year from our SE Portland studio and the forests, beaches and farms that make up our off-site education program.
WildCraft is looking for a creative individual to join our team – someone who is enthusiastic about hand-craft traditions and ready to step into a rigorous and fun educational environment, while also helping grow the brand through strategic marketing and program development. This position splits time between supporting weekend workshops (both in the studio and off-site) and working behind the scenes to develop and promote WildCraft marketing & programming.
Supporting workshops is a hands-on experience that involves professional engagement with our teachers, friendly interaction with our students, photographic documentation of each workshop as well as maintaining a clean, orderly and welcoming physical space. Time spent outside of the studio is dedicated to the development of future seasons of WildCraft programming as well as the marketing of existing programming via social media, newsletters, poster and catalog design. An ideal candidate would be friendly and outgoing, with a knowledge of craft practices, excellent organizational and communication skills, strong graphic design and writing skills and a dynamic understanding of creative culture. This position is a stepping-stone for the right candidate to transition into a full-time marketing and program-development role.
