Mountain Mushroom Forage (May 23) with Krista Cushman
As the spring season draws to a close, dedicated foragers know that porcini and morels are hiding in the higher mountain elevations, where the air is damp and the nights are still cool. This class is made for folks who like to hike and are willing to chase the trail of mushrooms up the mountain! As with all our mushroom forages, we can never guarantee a full basket or even one edible! What we can guarantee is a meaningful learning experience and the opportunity to improve your identification skills. Join us for one of our last forages before fall!
This is an off-site workshop, meeting near Trout Lake, WA.
This workshop is open to all adults 16yrs & over, who are prepared to hike all day (rain or shine) on uneven terrain, off-trail. This is not a suitable workshop for those with health conditions that may be triggered by hiking, carrying a backpack, or being outside for 5+ hours in variable weather conditions. Finding morels or other edible mushrooms is not guaranteed. A high level of education, however, is guaranteed! Please leave dogs at home. No previous experience necessary.
