Knit a Popcorn Sweater
Tuition: $400 | Materials: $10
Master the famed “bobble stitch” in this Intermediate Level knitting class with knitwear designer of Northside Knit Co, Lisa Woolridge! More info...

Come ready to get your popcorn on and make your own raglan sweater with more bobbles than you’ll care to count. In this 4-week workshop, students will review the basic skills of knitting, be introduced to the Alternating Cable cast on (an advanced technique to create a cleaner hem), collar shaping (working short rows to add length to the back shoulders and allow the collar to sit nicely), the bobble stitch (you’ll be instructed through two different bobble sizes, no-turn construction, and how to avoid gapping), and more! You will be guided through a raglan-style sweater construction, while incorporating evenly spaced bobble stitches in this engaging and fun knit. And be warned, once you make one bobble sweater, you won’t want to stop!
Students will provide their own yarn and needles for this project. A complete materials list will be provided upon registration. This is an Intermediate Level class, designed for students who have knitting experience and those who understand the basics of following a pattern! To complete the sweater over the course of the intensive, students will want to carve out time to knit between the 4 class sessions.
