Internships

WildCraft Studio School offers students, recent grads, and those interested in the opportunity to intern each season. Interns are involved with many aspects of our program from assisting during classes to organizing the studios and keeping our materials prepared for upcoming classes. Interns also get the opportunity to assist in offsite classes as well. The WildCraft season is divided into 2 terms.

STUDIO INTERN, Portland Studio:  WildCraft Studio School offers internships for 3-4 highly motivated Studio Interns for each term of the 2020 season. The Studio Internship requires 8-16 hours weekly commitment, which can be split between assisting in weekend workshops with the occasional special project and evening class. Interns’ main responsibilities will be in assisting teachers, setting up for classes, cleaning up after classes and supporting students during workshops. These positions will provide hands-on studio assistant experience as well opportunities to learn new textile & craft skills. Interns will receive up to 6 class credits, and are only responsible for the cost of materials fees.

The ideal applicant will have experience in processes related to the classes we offer, and the patience to handle tedious craft processes. We look for applicants with strong work ethic, varied skills, and the ability to work independently. Interns must be available to assist in our studio on the weekends. This is an unpaid internship. College credit may be available through your hosting institution.
