What does it mean to be a responsible medicine maker? This is a question the herbalism community is currently wrestling with. Thoughtful practitioners are sharing conversations around the ethics of wildcrafting, digging into issues of appropriation, and vocalizing the deep need for reciprocity between herbalists and the environment. WildCraft is pleased to support this conversation and create space for NW plant enthusiasts and practicing herbalists to join in this dialogue. Join herbalist Fern Wynn of A Wild Light Apothecary as we discuss our interaction with both cultivated and wild plants, why reciprocity matters, and the importance of conscious practices around medicine making. Students will learn to craft their own oxymel blend using local herbs, apple cider vinegar and honey, while exploring how to create a code of ethics around plant medicine.

Open to adults 16 & up.
