In this four-week class, students will gain an in-depth understanding of anatomy, through guided exercises while observing live models. More info...

Learn to render that most familiar, yet challenging subject of all, the human form. Classically trained in drawing, Isaac will share his expertise in how to start, troubleshoot, and develop a drawing. Exercises will range from short gesture drawings, to longer poses allowing time for more finished works. Using primarily charcoal and graphite, you will learn to accurately draw a diversity of bodies through understanding the foundations of the human form, and relationships to light and space. While the skills learned in this course will translate well to any drawing subject, there will be an emphasis placed on understanding human anatomy, proportion, and movement. You will come away from this class with many sketches, one to two more completed works, and the confidence to continue in the practice of drawing from life.

Students will be sent a materials list of drawing tools upon registering. All other materials will be supplied.
