Late Fall Wreaths (morning session) with Erin Riddle
Location: Portland Studio
Teacher: Erin Riddle
What better way to celebrate the winter season than with a gorgeous handcrafted wreath! Join local floral designer, Erin Riddle, of @TheForagedWreath for our once-a-year wreath-making class. This 3-hour workshop is a chance to take your own personal style and bring it to life in wreath form, whether it's whimsical, big and bold, or herbal and edible. Select from a variety of fresh greens, herbs, dried fruits, berries, seeds, branches and other natural elements - many locally-grown and foraged. Students will be encouraged to explore the texture, color, scent, and shape of the materials provided as they design their wreath, meanwhile learning which popular wreath materials can be found or foraged locally in the Pacific Northwest. Students will also receive a wire wreath frame, wire and floral tape to assemble your wreath. To make your wreath extra special, we encourage you to bring your own foraged materials to the class, as well as your favorite ribbon or twine for hanging or decor. You will get design inspiration and learn techniques that you can refer back to, year after year. Join us and take home a wreath that is your very own work of art!
Please bring hand-held wire cutters and garden shears or clippers. All plant materials will be provided but we encourage you to bring additional materials. Open to students 16 & up.
