Emily Baier is an enthusiastic creator of art every single day, and she brings that passion to everything she does—from her day job as a software developer to her creative pursuits outside work. She has been teaching folks how to embroider for over a decade, starting in 2009 when she opened a small embroidery studio called Tako Fibers. For six years, Tako Fibers produced crewel embroidery kits suitable for all skill levels. Emily’s embroidery work has been featured in ad campaigns, books, and as a line of kits for Williams-Sonoma. Her other interests include knitting, sewing, and making an awful lot of soup. Emily lives in Portland, Oregon with her husband and twin daughters.
