Tuition: $150 | Materials: $25
Drawing in ink can feel intimidating for beginner and experienced artists alike - join illustrator and educator Robin Bundi in this one-day workshop, where she will break down the technique of drawing with natural inks through a series of approachable exercises and activities. More info...

Focused on drawing with a dip pen, this course will cover the fundamental properties of strokes and pen control, as well as techniques for shading, value, and detail. Robin will provide a selection of inks made using historic recipes and local plant matter, and discuss the nuances of working with natural inks, including archival qualities, and the interaction of paper, pH and color. Students will spend the second half of the day practicing their new skills while creating a more developed botanical still life drawing, and take home their pens and a bottle of Robin’s handmade ink.
