You've seen them before—those ethereal, ghostly images emerging from blue-tinted fabric—and wondered, what is that?! That, curious friends, is cyanotype: a camera-less photographic technique that's been enchanting artists for over 100 years! More info...

In this immersive half-day workshop, artist Ahnika Wood will guide you through the alchemical process of creating your own stunning cyanotype prints on cotton and silk fabric.

Through hands-on demonstrations, students will learn how to prepare fabric with light-sensitive solutions, using a range of found objects and botanical elements to create sun-exposed impressions. Ahnika will also demonstrate toning techniques to expand beyond the classic Prussian blue, using natural toners, such as coffee, wine and tea, to create a range of colors. Students will leave class with a variety of prints on both cotton and silk.
