Connie Fu is an interdisciplinary artist whose work brings fiber, sound, and performance together to express metamorphosis, spiraling journeys, and twin loves for order and disorder. She is originally from Michigan and is fairly nomadic these days, calling many places home. Connie's relationship with color began on canvas as a painter, but soon she realized that she need not be limited to paint. Her explorations in textiles and movement have expanded the ways in which colors, as reflections of being, can carry a dialogue with each other. Connie's performance work has recently been presented at Maelstrom Collaborative Arts in Cleveland, Cherry Street Pier in Philadelphia, and La MaMa Theatre in New York. She has taught and facilitated workshops with Maelstrom, Praxis Fiber Workshop, and Chautauqua Institution.
