Touching on the history of collage and its connection to still life and "the everyday", we will use found and collected materials, transforming items such as: mail, packaging, magazines, cardboard, with marks made by our own hands. This workshop emphasizes starting where you are and repurposing tools and materials in new and unexpected ways. Arzani will demonstrate additive and subtractive techniques for layering color and creating actual and implied textures using processes of drawing, painting, cutting, cropping, rotating, and reassembling to arrange abstract compositions. Each participant will leave class with an array of techniques, materials, and a finished work of art.

This workshop is held at WildCraft's ANNEX studio, located at 707 NE Broadway #203. The studio is located on the 2nd floor and is, unfortunately, not ADA accessible.
