Heirloom Leatherworking: Big Bags! with Chloé Derderian-Gilbert
Location: Portland Studio
Teacher: Chloé Derderian-Gilbert
In this two-day class, students will learn how to design, cut, sew and finish an heirloom leather bag. This class will expand on techniques covered in Chloe’s Leather Craft 101 workshops, giving students an opportunity to take on a more ambitious, in-depth project. With hands-on instruction, design and construction support, students will gain insight into the process of detailed leatherworking - from design and form, to the technical aspects of hole punching, stitching and hardware additions. Students will leave this class with their own uniquely hand-crafted, large-scale, leather carry-all.
