April Jamison founded Garden Ecology in 2015 after receiving her degree in Geography from Portland State, where she focused on Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Food Systems. She contributed to Green Lents as a Lead Design Facilitator and Community Engagement Coordinator for the Malden Court Community Orchard. Later, in 2016, she accepted a position as Orchard Programs Manager for the Portland Fruit Tree Project. She's now enjoy's helping her clients make their garden dreams come true, through transformations, teachings, and tailored services.
Her skills in garden design and holistic fruit tree care are rooted in over 8 years of practical application here in the Pacific Northwest. April specializes in edible, medicinal, and PNW natives that provide food, healing, and habitat. Her portfolio consists of public, residential, and commercial projects.
By using a holistic lens and emphasizing systems that 'work with nature', she is able to help in transforming spaces into places of beauty, abundance, and joyful experience-- places that care for the earth, care for people, and inspire trends toward healing and sharing.
